Enjoy some well-deserved creative time whilst learning the art of brush lettering and creating your very own personalised Christmas cards!

Whether you're a typography fan, love all things stationery, or simply fancy trying something new and creative, I'd love you to join me for my Introduction to Brush Lettering & Creating Christmas Cards Workshop.

Perfect for complete beginners, this relaxed two-hour workshop combines learning a new skill with a little festive creativity. You'll be taught by me, Sam, founder of The Brush Lettering Club.

What to expect

We'll start right at the beginning, so don't worry if you've never picked up a brush pen before!

I'll introduce you to modern brush lettering, showing you how to hold and use your pen, create beautiful strokes and shapes, and understand the difference between upstrokes and downstrokes.

You'll then move on to forming letters, both lowercase and uppercase, before practising words and festive phrases, with plenty of help and guidance along the way.

Once you've mastered the basics, it's time to get creative!

Using your new brush lettering skills, you'll design and personalise five Christmas cards with beautifully lettered festive greetings, names and special messages.

Think thoughtful handmade cards to send to family and friends, each with your own personal touch.

By the end of the workshop, you'll be well on your way to developing your own brush lettering style. And with your materials to take home, you'll be able to practice... practice... practice!

What's included (to take home)

• 1 Tombow Black Dual Brush Pen

• 1 pencil

• A set of brush lettering guide sheets, including pen techniques, basic strokes, alphabet practice and Christmas words

• 5 sheets of practice paper

• 5 Christmas cards and matching envelopes to personalise

• A hot drink from Babylon's café

There will also be a selection of additional pens and creative materials available to use during the workshop to decorate and personalise your Christmas cards.

All materials are provided, and you'll take home your finished creations along with your brush lettering kit, so you can continue practising at home.

Price: £49 per person, including all workshop materials, five Christmas cards with envelopes and a hot drink.

Experience: Suitable for complete beginners. No previous brush lettering experience is needed.

Spaces are limited, so booking in advance is essential.

Once you've booked, you'll receive an email confirmation and your workshop ticket. Please bring your ticket along on the day, either printed or on your phone.
