About 'ME'

Hi, I’m Sam — a graphic designer, lettering enthusiast, and the founder of The Brush Lettering Club.

I’ve loved all things creative for as long as I can remember — from doodling and designing to a lifelong obsession with beautiful stationery and greeting cards. For nearly twenty years, my career as a graphic designer has let me explore creativity across fashion, beauty, stationery, and retail — and I still get that spark of joy every time I bring an idea to life.

After becoming a mum, I rediscovered my passion for creativity in a whole new way. One of my first outings after maternity leave was an Introduction to Watercolours class hosted by an illustrator I admired. For two blissful hours, I lost myself in colour, brushstrokes, and calm — and left knowing I wanted to bring that same sense of joy and creative escape to others.

That’s how The Brush Lettering Club began — born from a love of design and the joy of slowing down with a brush pen in hand. My workshops are all about creating space to unwind, connect, and rediscover the simple pleasure of making something beautiful. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, you’ll leave feeling proud of what you’ve created (and hopefully inspired to keep going!).

Creativity has always been my happy place — and I love nothing more than helping others find theirs too.
